Our Story

Two sisters. One shared table.

We grew up in Casablanca, in a kitchen that never really closed. Neighbours drifted in for tea, cousins stayed for dinner, and our mother somehow always had enough tagine to feed one more. When we opened our little café on Uppingham Rd, that's the feeling we wanted to bring to Leicester.

Every recipe here is one we cooked with our mother and her mother before her. Nothing is shortcut — the msemmen is folded by hand, the tea is poured from height, the baklava is layered in the early morning before the doors open.

Interior of the café
The Space

A little corner of Morocco.

Zellige tiles, brass lanterns, low cushioned benches, the low hum of Andalusian music. Whether you're here for a quick coffee before work or a long lunch with friends, take your time. There's always another pot of tea coming.
